How to Fail at Almost Everything and Still Win Big by Scott Adams
- The general theme of this book was that making mistakes and failures can be positive because you can learn from them and make your products and services better and more effective.
- In my opinion, this book connected with and enhanced my learning in ENT 3003 because whenever someone is trying to create a new product or business or service, it is important to go through rounds and rounds of trial and error to see what works and what doesn't and why.
- An exercise based on this book would involve students doing a simulation where they go through trial and error to try to make a product or service successful.
- My biggest surprise from the book was that Scott Adams advised that entrepreneurs complete tasks that require the most creativity first.
Hey Jack! Thanks for sharing your thoughts on this book. I almost chose it to read, but then ended up reading "The Art of Social Media." I definitely agree with the notion that mistakes and failures can be learning experiences, and things for us to grow and adapt from. Nobody will succeed at everything. Maybe I'll read this book in the future!
